I now have 220k on the the truck. Anyhow, other day while driving on dry roads in a straight line at 20 mph, my VSC OFF light and 4lo light began ...1. start your truck. 2. put it in neutral and make sure your not moving. 3. switch to 4 lo. 4. put in drive and go 10 ft or so until the light stops flashing and 4 lo lights solid. 5. once it does then stop the truck.

Wait for the 4LO indicator to stay on and stop flashing to confirm engagement. Note: Shifting out of Neutral before the 4L light is solid can damage the transfer case. Follow the same steps to shift back into 4H and wait for the indicator light to go out. The diagnostic scan indicates 3 items related to the Check Engine and 4WD blinking.
