Ran 5K in Axons for the first time this morning. Definitely a stiff shoe. Surprisingly narrow compared to other Saucony models. Grip was a little lacking on wet concrete too but great on dry. Because of the firmness it feels surprisingly snappy, it doesn’t feel like a max cushioned ‘slow day’ shoe on foot. The speed 3 can do it ALL including your daily/easy runs. BUT they are wasted on easy runs especially when you have others in your rotation, like taking your Ferrari for grocery shopping. The Endorphin pro 3 can do everything the speed can but better, again, it's wasted on the slower runs. You will love the pro 3.

Midsole material is the most important factor when choosing a speed shoe. Midsole with good bounce (springboard effect), and those that are responsive are the ideal ones. Been using it for majority of my runs, put 500 miles on my first pair in about 3 months and it still has life on it, have 2 more pairs waiting.
