Today we are preparing a Choice Brisket Flat and we are going to smoke it low and slow on our Masterbuilt Gravity Serie...Here are the mods I have: Firebox, Hopper Lid, Damper, Racks, Water Pan, Fan protector slide, Ash bin platform and Drip Pan/Manifold cover. The Hopper Lid and Damper have definitely helped the efficiency of the burn.Regulate heat and smoke loss to conserve charcoal with the vent damper. The damper is easily installed in less than a minute and and does not require drilling into your grill. It fits the Masterbuilt 560 Gravity Series Smoker. Essential Must have mods. None. Had my 560 for over a year and all I've done is put a beer can chicken grate in the ash bucket. $5 on amazon. In no way necessary. Others might be nice to have or make for easier cleanup, like the manifold or hopper lid covers, but much cheaper and easier to just use foil. This is supposed to function similar to the griddle shroud that comes with the 800. Don't know if both mods can be installed at the same time. I don't have any less mods (yet), so I can't vouch for them.
