Bloodhound fang power stance
Bloodhound is great for a Str/Dex quality build. Not as much reach as most, but that skill more than makes up for it. I use it on a Dex build and it is doing just under 800 on the stats sheet at +9. The Skill often hits for 1100-1700 depending on the target. Str 25 Dex 45 with buffs reaching 35/55. Lumie.Guardian Swordspear. Speed and power. Faster than anything larger than a straight sword, but hits and staggers like a full halberd. Arguably the best DEX scaling in the game. Good mix of vertical and horizontal attacks, as well as forward thrusting. Bloodhound Fang. Similar to Swordspear. Excellent Dex scaling, but good STR as well.

Level 150 with 65 strength and 34 dex on the bloodhound fang and it’s broken. I’ve had no issue with any boss in this game with that stat build. I’ve powered through the game with the bloodhound finesse weapon art and Square off on a +25 Lordsworn Straightsword. Bloodhound finesse has absolutely obliterated bosses in less than a minute.It's quite strong even without the Art if you're heavy in Faith. It regularly out damaged every other Greatsword I had with a STR/DEX/FAI of 30/30/50. Others came close and if you're going heavier into STR or DEX other greatswords will probably beat it damage-wise. I ran around with 3 or 4 different greatswords for different fights.Power stancing in Elden Ring works almost exactly like it did in Dark Souls 2. Using two weapons will always be stronger but that strength has heavy downsides unless built for it. Jump attack builds are built around this but weapons like Bloodhound Fang are not meant for this type of build or should i say it has better options. BHF is the ultimate carry weapon because of it's L2 / R2 combo + ability to be greased.Bloodhound's Finesse is better for mobs and fast targets though, and the Fang can be buffed with magic and greases. So I guess it also depends on what you're fighting. And of course, any status build (like powerstance bleed/frost twinblades or curved swords) will do way more damage on enemies that aren't resistant to it than either option.Power stance and Bloodhound's Fang This may be a bit of a noob question, but I can't work it out myself.
