I got my PA done in late June at 8g. In early September, I stretched it to 6g. I used a taper and took my time, and while it was a bit painful, it was uneventful and I don't feel like I rushed it. By Sept. 23rd, I had received a 4g circular taper (a 'claw') and while changing out jewelry to another 6g, I tried out the taper.My ears are at a 6g and seem to be naturally stretching themselves with glass plugs in, so it works fine at smaller sizes. Also glass plugs feel really nice in your ears too. I used tape to stretch up from an 8 through to 6 though and found it much easier to use than tapers ever were. Took a hot shower, massaged, used a ton of jojoba oil but they only go halfway in. Dont want to force them. Is 8g too small to try taping? It only took about 2 days to clear it up but it's not the most pleasant thing to deal with. That was about a month and a half ago, and today I was able to stretch that ear from a 6g to a 4g with a straight taper in one stretch, with no issues (yet). The round taper I had to buy individually from a local body jewellry shop, and it was about $26.
