Splunk substring function
I am trying to create a regular expression to only match the word Intel, regardless of the relative position of the string. I have come up with this regular expression: ^ [^; ]*;\s+. But it doesn't always work as it will match other strings as well. I want to match the string Intel only so as to create a field in Splunk.Splunk - Subsearching. Subsearch is a special case of the regular search when the result of a secondary or inner query is the input to the primary or outer query. It is similar to the concept of subquery in case of SQL language. In Splunk, the primary query should return one result which can be input to the outer or the secondary query.The replace function actually is regex.
