Polaris ranger clunking noise in front end
Apr 26, 2017 · 2017 570FS noise/clunk from front end help. Bought my 17 570FS new about 2 months ago and it currently has 83mi on it. Within the last 3 weeks I have developed a pop/clicking sound from the front end. At first I thought it was the drivers side only but after trying to narrow it down it seems to be happening on both sides and driving me crazy. Manual. Mar 29, 2021. #1. I replaced the front shocks, one of which was completely blown, and that helped a bit, but didn't completely solve it.The clacking sound usually manifests itself when non-permanent vehicles engage in 4WD mode. This is because part-time four-wheel-drive trucks are usually driven in the 2H mode in the city and on high-traction tar roads. When in 2H the front axle is disengaged and it is only the rear driveshaft that is propelling the vehicle forward.

I jacked front end up and by rotating the front wheels by hand i figured out that the knocking is coming from both front wheels.

I jacked it up to turn the wheels to see if I could locate where the noise was coming from and it does not make the noise when it was in the air. If the u rear u joint has play that might be the cause for the clunking. Or i could also be the cluthes causing the clunking.Noise in my 2013 Ranger differential
