Fan runs constantly. Hello, first time posting on this forum. I have a 2006 sportsman 500 HO (carbureted). The cooling fan starts running as soon as the ignition is turned on, even though the engine is dead cold. Some Polaris mechanics say also in addition to the sensor problem is the plug pig tail for the sensor going bad. My dealer ordered me a updated speed sensor kit which is on back order at Polaris. New Part # 2205264. To reset the computer drive in low range at 4000 rpm for around 30 seconds to a minute or until the engine light goes off.Pulled seat again, repeated process and tried it again. It fired up and no engine light, as the idle started to settle down the light kicked back on again. Shut engine off and cycled the key 4 times, off on off on off on off on and no light after 4th cycle.
