Also unless you live near good IMAX theaters there's a chance the XD screen size is larger than your typical liemax. fajson • 7 mo. agoSuper Mario seems to be being released in 1:2.39 aspect ratio even in IMAX, so I'd suggest XD. Depending on the actual dimensions of the XD theater vs the IMAX, it's actually possible for the XD presentation to have the same or bigger total screen area. Plus it's IMAX 6 track audio and not 12 track, otherwise the movie will have an Atmos cut ...If you prefer non3d showings, like I do, then the choice is easy.
